I would be more concerned about freezing to death in the air conditioning - at least bring a light jacket or long sleeved shirt with you.
You must remember I do come from Townsville, so I would expect it to be just like a hot month here , hehe. It is more "Cairns" hot, rather than "Townsville" hot - very humid.
I know that shorts, a t-shirt and sneakers are ok during the day - as long as you look neatish. I think that the dresscode is fairly flexible, especially for westerners.
Maybe similar dress code to The Reef Casino in Cairns although it has been a while since I have been there. Well the reef casino and really any in Australia have lowered their standards to a new level, I was there at xmas and there was a bloke in stubbies shorts and thongs!
Not a new sight in any casino here unfortunately. Cargo pants are fine, thongs are a bit iffy, but you will probably see some sights of locals in the casinos which may surprise.
Am sure you realise what is "neat casual" and what is not. During the day, am sure you will be fine. There are plenty of casinos in Macau.
Would recommend a trip to Wynn awesome pool and nice gaming room , MGM nice bars and lobby and maybe Crown it is the highest revenue earner in the world, currently, but is a little off the beaten path anyway.
Dahling, nothing less than full length gown and pearls tiara optional will do at the Venetian a thong may be worn where it cannot be seen.
